This little guy uses a series of stacking “bowl” type containers – each one for a different purpose, i.e. toys, electronics, food/containers (messy juice boxes), and clothes. The arm actually semi-wraps around the robot near the base in a channel to be out of the way when not in use. When activated, the robot removes all the bowls (which are stacked on top in a recess), sets them down and then puts one back on, right side up into the recess. Each bowl has an RFID tag so the robot knows which is which, and then goes off to pick up the items that match the container type.
The robot is also cylindrical in shape so there are no sharp edges and it can maneuver around most objects in a house.
